Dont know. Its a race motor so shit just kinda blows up sometimes. Cam chain was also totally smoked so they may have something to do with eachother.

Pretty catastrophic failure. This is in my 675R race motor though (not my M3!). Motor needs 2x new pistons an d rods, a new crankshaft, and a new cam chain + guide. Somehow the rod cap held together and didnt send the rod through the case at 13k+ rpm.
